The City Administration is proud to provide quality services, facilities and infrastructure within the City limits and maintaining these community resources is a top priority. The City encourages the citizens of Sumter to help keep these services, facilities and infrastructure at their best by providing feedback. Public Facilities & Improvements:

The City of Sumter continues to identify and prioritize repairs and the new construction of City property throughout the City limits and community input is welcomed and encouraged.   • Street Paving: Includes resurfacing of city streets that are not owned by the State of South Carolina
  • Drainage: Projects designed to improve and clean the drainage system throughout the city
  • Water Lines: Projects designed to improve and expand water system throughout the city
  • Recreation: Projects designed to improve recreational facilities and parks throughout the city, especially in low-moderate income areas
  • Sidewalks: Includes repairs and construction of sidewalks that are not owned by the State of South Carolina
