A Hidden Treasure in Sumter... The Palmetto Tennis Center!
Welcome to Palmetto Tennis Center, Sumter’s premier destination for tennis, pickleball, and community. Tucked inside the scenic Palmetto Park, PTC is more than just a sports facility—it’s an experience. With 24 hard courts, 4 pickleball courts, and 8 state-of-the-art German red clay courts, our complex offers one of the most complete racquet sport environments in the Southeast.
At Palmetto Tennis Center, we pride ourselves on a welcoming atmosphere, pristine facilities, and an energy that’s always alive. Whether you’re here for social play, professional-level tournaments, player development, or simply a peaceful walk through our grounds, PTC offers something for every age and skill level.
Since opening in 2004, the Palmetto Tennis Center has grown from a regional venue into a nationally recognized tennis destination. What began with 12 lighted hard courts has evolved into a world-class facility. Through strategic growth, passionate staff, and a commitment to quality, PTC has continually raised the standard for what a public tennis center can be.
Today, Palmetto Tennis Center proudly hosts everything from grassroots junior tournaments to professional circuit events ranging from $10K to $125K. With top-tier teaching professionals, a thriving youth performance pathway, and a calendar filled with exciting events, PTC continues to attract attention from across the southeast region and beyond.
