Pool rentals
- Daily Pool Rental (during open public swim hours): $50 plus $2/person
- This rental MUST be booked in person. While booking $50 must be paid up front in person
- After-Hours Pool Rental: $300
- Saturday or Sunday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The City of Sumter proudly announced the opening of the outdoor pool City of Sumter Aquatic Center at 1115 S. Lafayette Blvd., adjacent to the South Hope Center on August, 16th 2003. The Sumter Community enjoys fun in the sun with the mushroom water fountain, twister slide, lazy river and swimming for all ages! Sign up for swimming lessons, adult water walking programs, summer swim team, lifeguard lessons, and junior lifeguard classes! Check the Aquatics page for upcoming programs!

We begin our hiring process in February of every year. As we are an outdoor summer pool, employees are working on deck from April thru September.
Must be 15 years of age or older to apply for a position.

Lifeguards must be American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguard certified to work at our pool. We host certifications every April and May. Staff get certified at no cost.
