Filing Form
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy Form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section of scVOTES.gov(opens in a new tab), at the county election office and at the City Clerk’s Office.
State Ethics Filings
All candidates must electronically complete a Statement of Economic Interest Form(opens in a new tab) and Campaign Disclosure Form(opens in a new tab) as required by the State Ethics Commission and within the deadline established by state law. TERMS OF OFFICE
Mayor
The term of office of the Mayor shall be for a term of four (4) years. The fee to file for the office of Mayor is $400.
City Council
The term of office for City Council(opens in a new tab) members shall be for a term of four (4) years each so as to stagger the election of members of City Council whereby only three (3) members of City Council will be elected every four (4) years. The fee to file for City Council $240.
