City of Sumter Invites Residents to Help Shape Community Development Priorities
The City of Sumter is inviting residents to participate in a series of upcoming public meetings as the city develops its annual action plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.
Each year, the City of Sumter receives CDBG funds to support neighborhood improvements and programs that benefiting low- to moderate- income residents. Community input plays an important role in determining how those resources can best address local needs.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming meetings and share their ideas concerns and priorities for their neighborhood and the community.
The meetings provide an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the CDBG process and offer input that can help shape the city’s annual action plan.
All meeting locations are handicap accessible.

The city encourages residents to take part in the public process and help identify community needs and priorities for the coming year.
