Sumter, SC -- The Manning Avenue Bridge in Sumter is officially closed to all traffic as of January 12, 2026, due to a construction project being managed by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT). The bridge will remain closed until the project is complete.
At this time, crews are on-site as part of the early phases of the project.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour signage, and use alternate routes while the bridge is closed. Updates regarding the project timeline and traffic impacts will be shared as more information becomes available.
