The City of Sumter recently honored employees for their long-standing dedication to our community during City Council meetings on December 2 and December 16. Mayor David Merchant and City Council recognized employees from a wide range of departments, celebrating milestones from 10 to an incredible 55 years of service.
These employees keep Sumter running smoothly every day, from public safety and utilities to administration, planning, and community services. Their commitment and hard work make a real difference in the lives of our residents, and the city is grateful for their dedication.
