Terrance Dupree
Captain
Captain Terrance Dupree began his fire career with the City of Sumter Fire Department in 1993 as a Firefighter. Captain Dupree worked in the Sumter Fire Departments Engine Companies and Truck Companies throughout the city. He served as an engineer from 2012 to 2019 until being promoted to the Fire Prevention/CRR division. In 2020 he was promoted to Captain of the Fire Prevention/CRR division.
Captain Dupree resides in Sumter with his family. Captain Dupree tries to embody the quote, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” He intends to leave the Fire Department better off than when he started.
