Jeffrey M. Shirley, Sr
Battalion Chief
Jeffrey M. Shirley Sr joined the Sumter Fire Department in 2002 as a volunteer firefighter. In 2003 Battalion Chief Shirley became a career firefighter with the Sumter Fire Department. Throughout his career, he has obtained the operational ranks of Firefighter to Captain of Shift. Chief Shirley is currently serving as Battalion Chief of the Training Division. Jeffrey is a Certified South Carolina Fire Academy Instructor, serves as the Fire Department Dive Team Leader, and is the department's Safety Officer.
Jeffrey and his wife, Ashley have been married since 2000, and together they have 3 children and two grandchildren.
