Tammy Tolbert
Inspector
Tammy Tolbert joined the fire service in 2014 and is currently a Lieutenant in the Inspection Division. Prior to joining the Sumter Fire Department, she served in an administrative capacity with the City of Sumter for approximately 10 years. Her knowledge in the field of insurance and administrative experience has assisted in her transition to fire inspector. Since coming to the fire department, she has obtained Firefighter I and ICC Fire Inspector certifications.
She came to Sumter in 1990 as an Air Force dependent and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1992. She married her husband Will in 1995 and together they have a daughter and grandson.
