Sumter, SC – The City of Sumter is pleased to announce the next phase of its ongoing street-resurfacing initiative, focused on city and state-owned streets within the City limits. This project underscores the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, smooth, and reliable transportation infrastructure for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Work is expected to occur sometime between winter 2025 and spring 2026.
The following State-owned streets will be resurfaced:
- Broad Court
- Buttercup Street
- Center Street
- Dancona Street
- Dunway Drive
- Highland Avenue
- Mason Croft Drive
- Pear Street
- Red & White Street
- Russell Avenue
- Thelma Street
- W Oakland Avenue
The following City-owned streets will be resurfaced:
- Branch Street
- Cleveland Street
- E Oakland Avenue
- E Red Bay Road
- H Street
- Hatfield Street
- Paper Birch Avenue
- Pepperidge Subdivision (to include: Bennington Drive, Cottingham Drive, Pepperidge Court, Pepperidge Drive)
- Rainey Lane
- Terry Road
- W Williams Street
