Southern 10’s High Performance Training Camp April 9th and 10th

The City of Sumter and the Palmetto Tennis Center are proud to announce the USTA South Carolina Coaches selection. Tom Ruth, Youth Tennis Professional for the Palmetto Tennis Center has was selected to participate in one of three regional training camps in the Southern Section bringing the top 20 players in SC, NC, and GA in the 10 and under age division.

The Southern 10’s High Performance Training Camps are for 10 and under players with most of the birth years falling in 2001 – 2003. Players will be training on the 60 foot courts with the 50 percent balls. Players at the camp will be ranked and reviewed by the coaches for selection to move them onto the Southern Training Camp in Norcross GA. There was one coach selected to coach from each of the participating states. USTA South Carolina State office was responsible for selecting the coach to represent their region. Camps will take place on April 9 from 12-5 and April 10 from 9-12, www.southcarolina.usta.com.
