Mission:
- To manage and maintain financial records in conformance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles while in compliance with applicable laws.
- To provide accurate and timely information to the Mayor, City Council, City Management and other City departments which will enable them to more effectively serve the community.
Responsibilities:
The Finance Department is responsible for the financial administration, from budgeting to auditing, of the City's fiscal resources. The major areas of responsibility include:
- Accounting
- Purchasing
- Investments
- Accounts Payable
- Debt Management
- Financial Reporting
- Asset Management
- Budget Management
- Revenue Receivables
- Provide support to all City departments
- Administration and collection of the Hospitality Fee
