Holiday cheer arrives in Sumter with the opening of the annual Swan Lake Fantasy of Lights. For the entire month, the gardens come alive with a display of twinkling holiday imagery created by more than one million lights. The Pilot Club’s floating Christmas tree is an annual favorite, along with Santa, angels and characters of song and story. One of South Carolina’s largest Christmas light displays! Opening ceremony on Dec 1st at 6 p.m. Light display open nightly through December 31. Sunday-Thursday from dusk until 9 p.m., Friday-Saturday until 10 p.m. Drive-thru or park, walk and take photos!
The Sumter Pilot Club started the floating Christmas tree as a fundraiser for various organizations in need more than 35 years ago. The opening ceremony is a tradition, along with the Fantasy of Lights.
Part of Sumter's annual Poinsettia Festival, see Santa and enjoy holiday entertainment, refreshments and more! And kids, remember to bring your letters for Santa! The Santa Express will be there to send them straight to the North Pole!
