It’s been more than 50 years since Martha Reeves boarded that rented bus on the first Motown Review. Over the next decade, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas would be a constant presence on the music charts, as well as on television and top venues around the world. With the unmistakable voice that helped define “the sound of young America,” Reeves reigns today as one of music’s most beloved and acclaimed female singers. On stage, she is a live wire: dancing, strutting, keeping the beat with her trusty tambourine and keeping audiences on their feet as they dance down Memory Lane. Grab your tickets today to experience hits like the gospel-tinged “Nowhere to Run,” the classic soul favorite “My Baby Loves Me,” the pop anthem “Jimmy Mack,” and her signature, “Dancing In The Street" LIVE at the Sumter Opera House on June 20th!

Have you ever been serenaded by a musical duo that plays over ten different genres of popular music using the violin instead of their voices to literally express the lyrics of a song? If not, then get ready for a real treat. These brothers, Malcolm and Umoja, use their classic violin skills to play contemporary music. Born to a Barbadian mother and Jamaican father they honed their skills in the south Florida public school system, but are now touring and sharing their Reggae style music with the world. Join us on March 5, 2021 at 7:30 pm when the Sumter Opera House welcomes their unique music to our stage!
Tickets: $20 / $25
