"Unforgettable: Celebrating a Time of Life, Hope and Bravery" is a traveling exhibition by the legendary artist, Mr. Cecil J. Williams. This exhibition is on display at the Sumter County Museum from February 20 - May 16, 2020.

Cecil J. Williams, a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, is a professional photographer, videographer, publisher, inventor, author of 6 books, and architect of six residences that became his home and photography studio.

In May 2006, he published a photo-documentary entitled Out of the Box in Dixie. Unforgettable, the sequel to that publication released in February 2017. In 2020, Williams opened the Cecil William Civil Rights Museum in Orangeburg, SC. This is the first and only civil rights museum in South Carolina. Williams received a degree in Art from Claflin University.

The photography exhibition provides a rare glimpse of events, portraits, and moments of significant social change during the 1950s through the 1970s. The noble subjects and pioneers captured in Williams’ images depict the unforgettable waves of change that influenced the world during that era.
