Halloween on Main

The City of Sumter and SAFE Federal Credit Union are pleased to present the 4th Annual "Halloween on Main", Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. 

Halloween on Main is one of the most popular events amongst the children in Sumter.  When Main Street shuts down and fills up with children dressed for the occasion you can see the excitement begin! Wonderful characters appear to trick or treat to various candy stations, enter costume contests and enjoy playing games along the way.

5:30 pm                       Trick or Treating Begins at Halloween on Main!

                                   

Free Hay Rides – Pick up is in front of Kimbrells Furniture Store

 

Spooky Alley - $1.00 admission (SHS Drama Dept.)

                   Located on the new City Centre Terrace

 

5:30pm & 6:20pm      Miss Libby’s “Thriller” Dance on Main Street

                                     

6:00 pm                       Dog O’ Ween Contests begins – Sponsored by SPCA

                                                1^st Contest:  Dog in Costume

                                                            Small dogs 25 pounds and under

                                                            Medium dogs 26 to 50 pounds

                                                            Large 51 pounds and over

                                                            Best overall from this contest – dogs only

                                                2^nd Contest: Dog & Owner in Costume

                                                            Children 12 years of age under, any size dog

                                                            Children 13 -17 years of age, any size dog

                                                            18 years of age and over, any size dog

                                                            Best overall from this contest – dogs & owners

Winners of each category will receive a SPCA T-shirt and a $15 gift certificate for pet products from My Buddy Boarding Inn.  The two Best Overall Winners will receive SPCA T-shirt and a $25 gift certificate for pet products from My Buddy Boarding Inn.  Best Overall will also receive $25 in cash for 1st contest and $50 cash for 2nd contest.
