The legendary Leon Russell is one of the most accomplished and versatile musician in the history of rock 'n roll. Leon Russell will bring his distinctive voice to the historic settings of the Sumter Opera House. Leon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March, 2011 and inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in June, 2011.

Kipper Edens Ackerman, along with other local musicians, will perform a benefit concert for "The Sounds of Grace." Sounds eminating from the historic Opera House will include harps, cello, violin, guitar, trumpet and percussion. The Sounds of Grace is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring peace and healing through music by placing musicians in healthcare and hospice facilities, and classrooms for children with special needs.

One of the most lyrical and intimate voices of contemporary jazz piano, Brad Mehldau has forged a unique path, which embodies the essence of jazz exploration, classical romanticism and pop allure. Recording primarily for Nonesuch Records, Mehldau plays original compositions, jazz standards and jazz arrangements of popular music, especially rock music. With his trio, he has recorded arrangements of the music of Nick Drake, the Beatles, Radiohead and Paul Simon among others, and recorded Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" on his 2008 album, Live.
