Finance

Mission:

  • To manage and maintain financial records in conformance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles while in compliance with applicable laws.   
  • To provide accurate and timely information to the Mayor, City Council, City Management and other City departments which will enable them to more effectively serve the community.

 

Responsibilities:

The Finance Department is responsible for the financial administration, from budgeting to auditing, of the City's fiscal resources.  The major areas of responsibility include:

  • Accounting   
  • Purchasing   
  • Investments   
  • Accounts Payable   
  • Debt Management   
  • Financial Reporting   
  • Asset Management   
  • Budget Management   
  • Revenue Receivables   
  • Provide support to all City departments   
  • Administration and collection of the Hospitality Fee
