Festival of Trees

Downtown Sumter

The annual Festival of Trees has quickly become a holiday tradition for Sumter County residents. This wonderful event, which is open to the entire community, features Christmas trees that are sponsored and decorated by local businesses and organizations. The trees are placed along Main Street and Liberty Street to transform downtown Sumter into a winter wonderland. Thousands of people come to see these beautifully decorated trees that are on display the entire month of December.

More important even than the beauty of the Festival of Trees, though, is its beneficiary - Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospice Services. Funds raised through these sponsorships are used to enhance this incredible program. Hospice allows patients to spend their final days with dignity, receiving the comfort and care they need and surrounded by loved ones. Palmetto Health Tuomey’s Hospice program also provides family members the support they need during this difficult time, and a respite from the daily care routine. Paired with all the resources available through Palmetto Health Tuomey, it’s a combination we believe can make all the difference.

Please join the 2017 Festival of Trees and make a difference in the lives of Hospice patients and their family members, while showcasing your organization as a compassionate citizen who cares about the quality of healthcare in this community.

Annual ceremony on December 7.
