Palmetto Park

This six-field youth complex is conveniently located near major Sumter thoroughfares and features ample parking, an observation tower and adjoining picnic facilities.  With easy access to most area hotels and restaurants, it is an ideal tournament location and has hosted World Fastpitch Connections and Dixie Youth Baseball.  The SKIB (Sumter Kids in Baseball) program serves players ages five to 14 years old.  For program information contact the Sumter County Recreation Department at 803-436-2248.

 

Riley Park

Home of the champion American Legion P-15’s, Riley Park is a newly-renovated 2,000-seat professional-quality stadium offering concessions and ample spectator space.  It also hosts the USC Sumter Fire Ant and Morris College Hornet teams. 

 

South Sumter Park

630 South Sumter Street, Sumter SC 29150

 

South Sumter Park, built for community recreation, is home to a baseball field, one indoor and two outdoor basketball courts, a spray park and playground.  Located at the South Sumter Community Center.

Dillon Park

Dillon Park is a six-field adult softball complex that plays host to many other community events, including community celebrations and family gatherings.  The also park includes three soccer fields.  Paved walking trails, picnic shelters, a playground and adjacent Crystal Lakes Golf Course provide competition and family fun.  Nearby Cypress Park offers a secluded six-mile hiking trail and a small pond perfect for paddle sports.     

 

Patriot Park Sportsplex

Sumter’s newest athletic facility, beautiful Patriot Park Sportsplex is built for tournament play with five baseball and softball fields, and six soccer fields.  It features an observation tower and fan-friendly covered spectator area.  Recent baseball and softball tournaments have included USSSA, ISA, WFC and Dixie Youth.  Soccer events have included camps hosting up to 1,500 players, as well as the Kookaburra Challenge Cup and SC Youth State Soccer Cup.
