Art in the Park will fill Memorial Park Saturday with dozens of local artists who work in a variety of media. The event that celebrates the historical center of Sumter and its artists is now in its sixth year, thanks to its past success and the interest of both artists and local art lovers. Around 25 different artists are expected, offering everything from stocking stuffers to fine art and fine crafts in a range of prices. There will be glass, pottery, fabric, mosaics, and iron work from a wide range of local artist. New this year will be wooden bowls from Randy Heywood. This event is FREE and open to the public.
