Sumter's Full-time Stations

The Sumter Fire Department is a combined unit for the City of Sumter and Sumter County which have nineteen fire stations. There are four city stations with staffing of over seventy career-firefighters and fifteen volunteer stations staffed with over two hundred volunteers.

The Fire Department is unique in that two separate entities - a city fire department and 15 county volunteer units - work together as one group to protect the Sumter Community. We have learned to work as a team through training and education; together we stand and work side by side to accomplish our goals.
